Q: Why should I hire a personal trainer?
A: -Accountability. When you pay for a trainer you will not miss a workout.
Results. You are guaranteed to see results if you listen to a qualified trainer who knows about nutrition and you do the workouts.
-Knowledge. A lot of people know a little about training the body, but a qualified personal trainer will know how to train a professional athlete, a senior person, and a budding child athlete.

Q: What qualifications should I look for in a personal trainer?
A: Obviously a degree in Exercise Science or related field is a good start. From there the top certifications are as follows:
National Strength and Conditioning Association – Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, Certified Personal
Trainer; American College of Sports Medicine – Fitness Specialist; and the Fitness Institute – Certified Personal
Training Specialist which is the most legally defensible certification in the United States.

Q: How do I get started?
A: Contact several trainers and ask questions about their certifications and knowledge. Then give one or more a try.

Then like all things find the one who best meets your needs.
